For Sylas aka Quinn Brand and his buddies , they have for years been conning people out of their money - the rich , the greedy and the powerful - the criminals of the rich world. Meanwhile , it seems that someone on the outside has knowledge to what Quinn and the guys are doing and has made Quinn his target with threatning messages , emails and stalker photos. With the stakes high and trouble looming, the guys should really pack up and leave but Saige is still niggling at Quinn's brain. What will happen though when his stalker turns out to be someone he thought he could trust ? Will Quinn survive the stalker or will his secret - the care of his sister be aired out into the open and her life and his friends at risk because of his one stupid mistake to trust.I did not expect the twist in this story, but am now looking forward to reading Book #2 - Back to Back.

Intriguing and filled with hidden secrets. I was not truly ready for the ending. Although I thought about it along the way with clues interspersed throughout the chapters. Well written for sure. A little romantic but more mysterious than anything. Now to get my hands on book two.
The book started out great. Got me hooked. It keeps you on your feet. It kind of slowed down for me half way through the book because it was the same repetitive thing over and over without anything significant happening.
But I knew something big was about to happen. I kind of guessed it with the subtle hints here and there however at the end, I still screamed HOLY S***!!! I knew it!! Lol. Cliffhanger for sure. Can't wait for the next book to see what happens. I def feel for Quinn/Sylas.
What love story is not to like? Even the doomed ones. This is the story of a dark, handsome, scarred stranger who set his mind of winning a fiery redhead's heart for his own gangs purposes. The chemistry is hot hot hot and the desperation is frustrating as you know this can't end well. Many would say the ending is really surprising, but even though it was a clever one, I didn't find it very shocking, because if it had ended another way, i would have been very mad

This book has a sequel, but as I've read that the sequel is rushed and poorly written, i would not like to ruin a love story i actually quite liked.
I found this book through the Recommended for you section on and I have to say they were spot on! I loved everything about this book and willingly followed all the twists and turns the story took. The characters were so intense and had so many secrets and layers that you have to keep reading just to discover another layer of who they are. I am so glad I picked up book 1 and 2 because I know if I had to wait for the next book I might have smacked my head against the wall. It's such a clever story that you don't see the twist coming until you are right in the moment even though there were definitely hints along the way haha. Heading off to start book 2 now!
What a ride! Whoo hoo! This is my very fist novel by Chelsea Cameron- and I am going to wish list everything she has written after I finish writing this review. Quinn AKA Sylas is a sexy, dark haired deviant whose dark past keeps him from living the life he really wants -but NOT from falling in love. Saige is a college aged, rebellious, feisty and loving redhead. The relationship we see built between them both mentally and sexually is one to be envied (pleasantly). The sex scenes are hard and not for the conservative (caught myself ahem... re-reading a few). Girls -YES! There is also a secondary character named Cash who is one of Quinn's best friends- he sounds delicious- sexy, boyish, loyal, and just purrrrfect. Don't pass this one up. I really enjoyed this one. I took off one star only because this is one in a series and it can't stand alone and for a few grammatical errors. Still, one of the best I've read so far this year. Highly recommended.
This is a new author for me and I'm glad I took a chance on this book. Good mystery, romance and suspense with a great cast of characters. The MC, Quinn/Sylas is a complex and mysterious man that works with a group of guys that all seem to have their own mysterious backgrounds. I loved the supporting characters in this book, they were fleshed out well and I liked the way they were a strong part of the story rather than making this all about the romance. I fell in love with sweet, funny, innocent Lizzy who brought out the sensitive and human side of Sylas but my favorite was Cash, who I hope we will see more of in a future book.
The MCs had great chemistry and Saige is eccentric, fun and easy to like as a love interest for Quinn/Sylas, they are both strong in their own way but slowly become vulnerable to each other. Throughout the con it was hard to say who was working who but it was an interesting story that kept me engaged and wanting to get back to reading it when I had to put it down. Many twists and the mysterious stalker kept me coming back for more.
The only drawback was the cliffhanger which is something that I normally stay away from but somehow in this book it works, what a way to end the first book. It was really well done and I could not wait to read the conclusion in the second half. Luckily I didn't have long to wait and the second book is out now.
I recommend this book even with the dreaded cliffhanger and the price was definitely a plus. Enjoy!
